Technical Requirements

The First 4000 Words program was designed to run on the Adobe Flash Player 10 browser plug-in. The core hardware requirements can be found at the following website: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/

Additional hardware requirements include:

• Screen resolution:
  • Minimum – 1024 x 768 (must use browser full-screen mode – F11)
  • Suggested – 1280 x 1024
• Sound card with speakers or headphones
• Microphone (necessary for speech recognition)

Network Requirements include:

• Suggested – 512k DSL or faster connection.
